MISSISSAUGA, ON, October 8, 2026 – Mitsubishi Motors Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) reported third-quarter sales of 9,512 units, making Q3 the company’s strongest quarter of calendar year 2026 and contributing to year-to-date sales of 27,671 units.
September sales reached 3,428 units, an increase of 9% over August 2026 and the second-best September result on record for the brand in Canada. September sales trailed the record-setting September 2025 result by just one percent.
“Despite continuing market challenges, our Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada dealerships worked hard to deliver strong sales in September, leading to our best quarter of the year,” said MMSCAN President and CEO Kenichi Kawaji. “Strong performances from RVR and Eclipse Cross, along with continued demand across our SUV lineup, demonstrate the strength of our product portfolio and the confidence Canadians continue to place in the Mitsubishi Motors brand.”
The RVR subcompact SUV led the gains in the third quarter, recording total sales of 2,588 units, up 28.4% from 2,016 units in Q3 2025. Year-to-date RVR sales reached 7,941 units, the best performance on record for the nameplate through the first nine months of the year.
Eclipse Cross also posted a strong quarter, with sales increasing to 1,606 units from 1,297 units in Q3 2025, representing growth of 24%. The model also achieved its best September sales result on record.
The flagship Outlander SUV remained the company’s top-selling vehicle during the quarter, recording 3,224 sales, while the award-winning Outlander PHEV contributed 2,094 sales. Through the first three quarters of 2026, Outlander and Outlander PHEV combined for 15,441 units sold, underscoring their continued importance to the brand’s success in Canada.
