OCTOBER SALES SURGE FOR MITSUBISHI AS NEWLY DESIGNED RVR HITS DEALERSHIPS
Record month for Mitsubishi RVR with sales up 60 per cent
Mississauga, ON – November 1, 2019 – Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada, Inc. reported 2,141 vehicles sales for the month of October, a 19 per cent jump over last year. Leading the SUV lineup was Mitsubishi RVR with 739 deliveries – a best-ever October for Mitsubishi’s top-selling nameplate and a 60 per cent increase over last year. Mitsubishi RVR model year 2020 are in dealerships now with a redesign and more competitive packaging that brings key technology to the customer at a lower price line.
“RVR appeals to the pragmatic customer who is looking for proven reliability, fuel efficiency and an excellent all-wheel drive system. RVR delivers on all fronts and now with very competitive pricing, high-demand technology at lower price lines wrapped in a bold new design, we’re already seeing increased customer interest,” said Kathryn Soubliere, senior manager, Sales Operations, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada, Inc.
The Outlander brand accounted for 950 sales with Outlander gasoline notching 529 sales for the month and Outlander PHEV delivering 421 vehicles – a record October for Canada’s top-selling plug-in hybrid SUV. Eclipse Cross rounds out SUV sales with 311 deliveries for the month. Mitsubishi Mirage subcompact hatchback and G4 sedan reached 141 deliveries.
