MITSUBISHI MOTORS REPORTS 1,244 SALES FOR JANUARY
All-new Eclipse Cross in dealerships in March
Mississauga, ON, February 1, 2018 – For the month of January Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada delivered 1,244 vehicles topping last year’s sales by two per cent.
“2018 will be a significant year for Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada as we focus our business on SUV, S-AWC and PHEV technology,” said Kathryn Soubliere, senior manager, Sales Operations. “We are beginning to see impact of our growth strategy with excitement in dealer showrooms and very positive customer reaction.”
First shipments of the game-changing Outlander PHEV began in December and with 174 vehicles delivered to customers last month, momentum for the highly anticipated vehicle continues to grow. The world’s top-selling plug-in hybrid SUV* has begun arriving at Canadian dealerships with a starting MSRP of $42,998.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV sales together with Mitsubishi RVR sales of 317 and Mitsubishi Outlander sales of 414, helped the company to achieve 905 SUV deliveries, a 23 per cent increase of overall sport utility vehicle sales. The 2018 all-new Eclipse Cross will join Mitsubishi Motors’ SUV roster in March with first shipments expected in February. Pre-orders are available now including for a limited Diamond Edition.
Rounding out January volumes, Mitsubishi Motor’s subcompact Mirage and Mirage G4 models hit 109 sales and the Lancer family of sedans reached 227.
