Mitsubishi Motors Reaches 2,258 Sales in May

New Black Edition RVR Helps Drive Best May Ever

Mississauga, ON – June 1, 2017 – The popular Mitsubishi RVR compact crossover helped propel Mitsubishi Motors’ to its best May result in the company’s 15-year history. Last month’s 784 RVR compact crossover deliveries – which received a lift from the launch of the unique Black Edition model – led the company’s drive for success in May.

“The RVR Black Edition is a hit among Canadian consumers,” noted Kathryn Soubliere, senior manager, Sales Operations. “It is proof positive that offering strong value, along with superb styling, versatility and economy, goes a long way in exceeding the needs of consumers,” she added.

Resplendent in its Labrador Black exterior, black 18-inch wheels, grille and skid plate, the RVR Black Edition features copious interior red stitching, along with aluminum brake and acceleration pedals. 

Other top sellers in May included the Lancer family of sedans at 605 sales, Mitsubishi Outlander compact sport utility at 593, and Mirage subcompact hatchback and G4 sedan at 270 deliveries. 

Last month’s 2,258 sales represented a 6.3 per cent increase over 2,125 deliveries in May 2016. The company’s top-five dealerships were Southside Mitsubishi (Edmonton), Capital Mitsubishi (St. John’s), Rallye Mitsubishi (Gatineau), Québec Mitsubishi (Québec City) and St. JérÔme Mitsubishi (Mirabel).
