Vancouver-Area Mitsubishi Dealerships Helping Kids

$20,000 Donation to Breakfast Club of Canada

Vancouver, B.C. – March 28, 2017 – Five Mitsubishi Motors dealerships have teamed-up to support breakfast programs for children in the province’s Lower Mainland. A $20,000 donation to Breakfast Club of Canada represents the largest single gesture of support since Mitsubishi Motors committed $100,000 annually to the national organization last July.

“It’s heartening that our local dealerships have joined in Mitsubishi Motors’ corporate social responsibility efforts in such a large way,” said Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada’s Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Tony Laframboise. “Breakfast Club of Canada’s program in British Columbia gives students the opportunity to succeed, by starting their day with the fuel they need to learn.”

Representatives from the five dealerships – including Metrotown Mitsubishi (Burnaby), North Vancouver Mitsubishi, Surrey Mitsubishi, Tri City Mitsubishi (Port Coquitlam), and Wolfe Mitsubishi (Langley) – were part of a cheque presentation today at the Vancouver International Auto Show. 

Additional donations are expected a month from now when the five dealerships wrap-up a unique Breakfast Club promotion that will run throughout April. Their “Breakfast Club Month” event will provide a donation for every consumer test drive of a Mitsubishi Motors vehicle.

“The generous contribution from Mitsubishi Motors dealerships alone will provide an estimated 20,000 breakfasts for children across British Columbia and the value of this partnership goes well beyond that,” she said.

Breakfast Club of Canada is a non-profit organization that provides funding, equipment, training and support to school breakfast programs across the country. BCC is dedicated to making sure every child begins their day with a nutritious meal, helping them thrive at school, and in their community. Founded in Québec in 1994, Breakfast Club of Canada began to fund and support school breakfast programs nationwide in 2005.
