Limited Edition Mitsubishi RVR and Outlander

Strong value proposition with expanded models

Mississauga, ON, (April 8, 2014) – Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada will produce a limited run of specially-priced, enhanced versions of its popular utility models during the spring of 2014.

A Limited Edition version of the Mitsubishi RVR SE AWC compact crossover includes 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome grille surround and exhaust finisher, roof rails, and large rear spoiler. Inside, the Limited Edition package gets premium seat fabric, paddle shifters, automatic climate control, illuminated vanity mirrors and high-contrast instrument cluster.

Although these enhancements carry a retail value of about $5,000, the RVR Limited Edition’s MSRP of $26,498 is only $800 above the price of the SE AWC model on which it is based.

RVR is Mitsubishi’s best-selling vehicle in Canada and features a standard 2.0-litre, 148-horsepower four-cylinder engine; RVR is one of the most fuel-efficient crossovers in the land with a highway rating of 6.3 L/100 km.

The Limited Edition treatment also graces the new-for-2014 Mitsubishi Outlander compact sport utility with unique front, side and rear air dams, large rear spoiler and front-grille blackout kit. Priced separately, these enhancements carry a value of over $2,500 but are available on the Outlander GT S-AWC for an MSRP of $36,998 – or only $1,000 more than the model on which it is based.

Outlander boasts near class-leading fuel economy with a highway rating of 6.3 L/100 km, thanks to the newly designed 2.4-litre, four-cylinder Smart MIVEC engine. Moreover, Outlander is rare among Canada’s compact SUVs to offer advanced safety technologies Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Mitigation on premium 3.0-litre V-6 models.

“Our Limited Edition models expand consumer choice and offer attractively-priced extra equipment packages,” said Tony Laframbroise, vice president, Sales & Marketing at Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada.

RVR and Outlander are backed by the best warranty in the world – 10 years or 160,000 km limited powertrain, five years or 100,000 km limited new vehicle and five years, unlimited mileage roadside assistance.
